The special thing about adult puzzles is the level of difficulty. The motifs and figures are generally more challenging than those for children, for example.

The number of pieces is usually higher and the elements appear more differentiated. Each puzzle represents an individual challenge.

Mastering this requires your creative skills and a little perseverance. But the finished wooden puzzle rewards you for all your efforts and is sure to be appreciated by others. For many, a first wooden puzzle quickly develops into a new hobby.

For some, it is the special material, which impresses with its natural character, while others enjoy the tricky tasks and the search for solutions.

Those who regularly do jigsaw puzzles quickly develop a structured approach and are able to think strategically. Even Sort by the individual pieces and planning the processes requires logic and efficiency.

The more often you do the puzzle, the more you will notice changes. A wooden puzzle for adults is much more than just a fun activity, as it also trains various skills, such as concentration and perception.

Additional effects are the relaxation and tranquillity that arise when doing puzzles and thus ensure a noticeable reduction in stress.

The very first jigsaw puzzles were made from narrow wooden boards in the second half of the 18th century. Initially, they were still simple boards, which were followed around 100 years later by today's interlocking shapes.

In the industrial age, manufacturers switched from tried and tested wood to inexpensive paper and cardboard products.

However, the natural charm of the wooden jigsaw puzzle has never been lost and today there are once again numerous models to choose from. As soon as you unpack your wooden jigsaw puzzle, you can smell the characteristic scent of the original material.

• Plywood boards are usually used for wooden puzzles.
• This robust and versatile material is created by gluing and pressing several layers of wood together. This gives it high strength and dimensional stability.
• The look of the puzzles and 3D models is comparable to solid wood versions.
• Native woods such as beech, poplar or maple among the deciduous trees and pine as a conifer are suitable for the production of this popular material.
• Compared to cardboard puzzles, wooden puzzles score points for their durability. Even frequent use of the pieces, for example in a laying puzzle, does not lead to wear and tear.
