It was about time! For years we have been hearing from our loyal customers and clients the question: "Is Ugears able to create a model kit for a working clock that really tells the exact time?" For a long time, a working mechanical clock made of wood was the number 1 "most wanted" new design. 

The Aero Clock is not just a mechanical 3D wooden model or a nice showpiece. This model by Ugears is a real working clock that you can assemble yourself, mount on the wall and wind up, then watch the seconds, minutes and hours go by.

This simple yet elegant Ugears clock is powered by gravity, which pulls down a weight bag (you can fill this bag with sand or salt). Move the bag upwards on its roller to wind the clock, this must be done every 12 hours. As the weight slowly sinks down, it turns a drive gear, which in turn sets an escapement wheel in motion via a reduction mechanism.

The wooden panels have an appropriate thickness and are tested according to strict quality specifications. However, it can happen that a part breaks. In the case of critical parts, more are supplied than are needed. If these are not sufficient, you can contact us at any time and we will arrange replacement parts for you free of charge.
