Each country is a separate piece, with country names and capitals engraved into the wood. The map protrudes about 1 cm and casts a shadow on the wall.
Yes, with our 288 flag pins, which are sold separately. You can insert the pins into the countries you’ve already visited—no tools or glue required. The set also includes flags for U.S. states, Canadian provinces, and Australian states. The pins fit any map size.
There are three sizes: S (100 x 55 cm), M (144 x 79 cm), and L (192 x 105 cm), each about 1 cm thick. There are also five colors: Choco, Emerald, Natural Wood, Smoky Dreams, and Blue Fantasy. Depending on the size, the card has 114, 126, or 127 pieces.
Glue and double-sided tape are included. You can use the tape to attach the map to the wall without drilling. For a permanent hold, use glue or another mounting method suitable for your wall. According to their reviews, several customers glue the countries onto a backing board—such as an MDF board or canvas—and hang the entire piece.
Allow two to five hours for sizes S and M, and five to nine hours for size L. You’ll cut the pieces out of the wooden panels and glue the layers together following the illustrated instructions. Glue is included; you won’t need any additional tools. The kit is rated Level 2 out of 5 and is recommended for ages 14 and up.
