When assembled, it measures about 11 x 18 x 23 cm, with the longest side being 23 cm. This means it fits on a standard bookshelf between your books. Just check beforehand to make sure there’s 23 cm of space available.

The light is built into the model, and you can turn it on whenever you want. It runs on 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. You don't need a nearby outlet.
