The marble is carried up a flight of stairs, once it reaches the top it will decide which path to take, the easy way or down the fast funnel.

Here, the marble is taken directly to its starting point in an elevator and then rolls down a fast track. While the marble is waiting at the bottom, all the gears are set in motion with the hand crank to operate the elevator.
