The bench model trimaran is a classic multihull sailboat that features many details such as winches, rigging and hulls, making it a very realistic miniature copy of real-life prototypes.
Sail away with this extraordinary, graceful beauty of the sea. Where will she take you today - on a circumnavigation or an overseas expedition? Abandon the rough seas of everyday life and travel to distant lands with the Merihobus trimaran from Ugears.
The hull of the sailboat is made in a "skeleton" style to ensure a good view of the mechanism and design of the sailboat, including such details as bulkheads, frames and beams. The aft rudder blade is controlled by the ropes connected through the pontoons to the steering wheel at the stern. The hydrofins attached to the sides of the pontoons make the model stable and steady while creating a visual impression of the model's elevation. The side pontoons are attached to the main body with a load frame that matches the style of the hulls.
The mainsail and the foresail on the mast can be set or furled as on real trimarans. The mainsail of the Merihobus trimaran is set with the main halyard on the mast groove. The staysail "rolls up" on a stay. In front under the bowsprit is the winch drum of the staysail. The sail boom is operated by a lever that pulls the sheet of the boom.
And of course you can't miss the beautiful little finishing touch - a tiny seahorse carved into the bow of the boat. The curious sea creature, also known as Merihobus, gave your boat its name.
