With its fire brigade model kit, Ugears, a company known for its high-quality wooden models, has brought an impressively functional and versatile model car onto the market. It can be assembled by yourself with the help of pre-cut individual parts and then impresses with its many realistic functions.

The Ugears fire engine is a self-propelled model made of wood, which comes from the current collection of Ugears and is primarily aimed at craft enthusiasts from the age of 14.

It has a powerful four-cylinder rubber band engine that has two different driving modes to offer: In the so-called driving mode, it lets the fire engine move forward on its own, while in the "reverse" gear mode, it moves backwards. Alternatively, you can simply set the engine to idle mode and in this way view the four pistons of the engine - these move realistically underneath the hinged bonnet.

Assembling the model kit is very easy because all the components, which are made of sustainably grown wood, have already been cut out exactly by laser and are therefore ready to assemble. So that you know exactly which part belongs in which place, the fire brigade model kit also comes with very detailed step-by-step instructions that make it much easier to assemble.

How the wooden fire engine works

This model kit is based on a real rescue and fire truck and therefore offers you a variety of true-to-the-original functions: The model is not only equipped with a rotating base, but also with a three-part fire ladder that is 70 cm long when extended.

A small lever allows the ladder to be lifted, while an additional handle allows it to be swivelled to the left or right. In addition, the ladder can be fixed firmly in both directions if desired.

A small hook can also be attached to the top end of the ladder, turning it into a crane in no time at all. As with a real fire engine, a smaller ladder is attached to the side of the vehicle - in real life, this is used to make it easier for the firefighter to climb onto the vehicle. Furthermore, the model also allows the cabin door to be opened, which ensures a view into the driver's cabin.

Here you will find a functioning steering wheel next to the accelerator pedal, whose movements are directed to the sprung front axle.

The fire brigade model kit is assembled without glue or similar aids.

Thanks to the high quality of the laser-cut individual parts made of robust plywood and the exemplary fitting accuracy of all components, the vehicle can be assembled like a classic puzzle.
