The blossoms are made of intricately detailed plastic or paper, and the trees are made of painted wood. They look surprisingly realistic, especially when illuminated by LED lights in the evening. Unlike real cherry blossoms, these last forever—bringing spring to your bookshelf all year round.
4–10 hours, depending on the model. The larger Sakura scenes with multiple elements (trees, buildings, lanterns) are a weekend project. The assembly process is particularly meditative—in keeping with the theme of Japanese mindfulness.
