The Ukrainian manufacturer Ugears proves that wooden models do not necessarily have to represent vehicles with this unique treasure chest, which is assembled like a 3D puzzle and can then even be used like a real chest.

High quality treasure chest with filigree worked lid

While many conventional wooden models serve merely as decoration on the desk or shelf, Ugears has specialised in mechanical premium models that can all be set in motion. When developing its own treasure chest, the manufacturer was inspired by small puzzle boxes, which were particularly popular in Victorian England.

The result is a beautiful little casket, which is characterised by its impressively filigree and partially transparent casing - this allows a view of the exciting inner workings of the treasure chest, which are made up of several moving cogwheels.

A secret slumbers inside the treasure chest

Like a real treasure chest, this miniature version also holds a secret inside that needs to be solved. To open the chest, a small key is integrated inside the decoratively decorated lid, which can be removed by turning it slightly clockwise.

However, this alone is not enough to solve the riddle of the chest: If you want to set the built-in gear in motion, you have to unlock the ingenious mechanism responsible for this task before removing the key - for this, the key has to be turned anti-clockwise.

It's this elaborate process that ultimately helps the lid of the chest to open. After you have successfully opened the lid, a small compartment inside is revealed in which you can store small things such as coins, buttons, jewellery or other accessories.

Precisely fitting wooden parts from sustainable cultivation

As you would expect from Ugears, only wood from sustainable cultivation originating in Europe was used for the production of the treasure chest kit.

A special laser process helps to ensure that all 190 individual parts are cut out absolutely perfectly so that they can be assembled flawlessly.

Especially practical: You don't need any other tools or glue to assemble this decorative treasure chest - you can simply put the individual components together like a conventional 3D puzzle.

The wooden panels have an appropriate thickness and are tested according to strict quality specifications. However, it can happen that a part breaks.
