Further information

If you are looking for a sophisticated wooden model, you will certainly like this beautiful windmill model from Ugears.

With its 585 individual parts, it not only offers hours of crafting fun, but also has one or two exciting functional features once it is finished.

Lovely miniature version of a historic windmill

This lovely looking windmill model is based on a 17th century windmill - the Chesterton Windmill, which was built between 1632 and 1633 in the county of Warwickshire. As you would expect from the manufacturer's high-quality wooden models, a great deal of attention to detail has gone into this model, which can be seen from the first glance at the finished end product.

Whether on a desk, in a display cabinet or in a wall cupboard, this windmill is a real eye-catcher and, thanks to its rotating blades, provides additional entertainment for young and old alike.

Manually or mechanically rotating blades

The blades of the windmill can be set in motion either by the built-in rubber band motor or manually - for example, by gently blowing on them or with the active support of a fan.

If you opt for the mechanical drive, a double planetary gear with differently shaped gears contributes to the required speed, which can deliver a lot of wind depending on the strength.

Such a complete chain drive, which, like all the other individual parts of the windmill, is made solely from plywood, is a truly special feature of this wooden model.

As the wings of the windmill also set the transparent interior of the windmill in motion, it is simply great fun to watch this imposing structure at work.

High product quality

Wooden models from Ugears are known for their impeccable quality.

All the individual parts used are made from sustainably grown wood from European forests and are cut with particular precision using a special laser process.

This guarantees a simple and error-free combination of all components at all times.

As no additional tools or glue are required to assemble the windmill, the model is also ideal for inexperienced model builders aged 14 and over.
