Is the Ferris wheel a good choice for my first wooden puzzle?
We classify this as a Level 3 kit for casual hobbyists, which is the intermediate level in our lineup. With 120 parts, it’s manageable, and illustrated instructions in German, English, French, and other languages will guide you through the assembly. Plan on spending 2 to 5 hours on it. If you have no prior experience with model building, a Level 1 model is the easier way to get started.
What exactly do I get as a model?
The model recreates the Ferris wheel from the World's Fair in Chicago; the original was 80 meters tall and had 36 gondolas. This scaled-down version features the spoke structure with individual wooden gondolas. Lighting or electronics are not included in the kit.
Do I need glue or tools?
Glue is not included with the kit; the parts are laser-cut and pre-assembled and are designed to snap together. If you have trouble snapping the parts together or want to smooth out any edges, we offer a model-building tool set in our accessories section. We also carry Magic Craft Glue separately, in case you want to reinforce a joint.
How big will the Ferris wheel be?
When assembled, it measures 15 x 6 x 16 cm, so it’s 16 cm tall and has a narrow footprint of 15 x 6 cm. This means it fits on any standard shelf and on any desk. If you’re looking for a model that takes up a lot of space, this isn’t the right choice for you.
What if a piece breaks when you squeeze it out?
Spare parts for particularly critical components are already included on the assembly sheets. If your part is missing, please contact us via our contact form or the HelpCenter, specifying the model and part number. We will send you the replacement free of charge.

June 21, 1883, the Ferris wheel was built for the World's Fair in Chicago. With a height of 80 meters, a diameter of 76 meters, 36 gondolas hanging from it and room for 60 people. This was of course an experience for everyone. To be as high as the birds, to look out over the rooftops of Chicago and to return to the ground without a care in the world.
