21 June 1883, the Ferris wheel was built for the Chicago World's Fair. With a height of 80 metres, a diameter of 76 metres, 36 gondolas hung from it and room for 60 people. This was, of course, an experience for everyone. To be as high as the birds for once, to look over the roofs of Chicago and arrive back at the ground without a care in the world.
