Do I need to know how to draw to use these pens?
No. The MagicPens are easy to use, don't smudge, and provide good coverage—all it takes is a little patience. If you don't want to paint, just leave the lock as is.
How difficult is the assembly?
Level 3 of 5 (intermediate), so it's quite doable, even without prior experience. The illustrated instructions guide you step by step, and the tool set from the Starter Kit makes the process even smoother.
How long will it take me to build Hogwarts?
Allow 5 to 9 hours, spread out over several evenings. All the laser-cut plywood pieces are assembled without glue.
Does the lock have any moving parts?
Yes, the staircase and the dragon's wings on the main tower are movable. There are also several towers, building wings, and many intricate details. Once assembled, the castle is a real eye-catcher on the shelf.
