The 250 pieces are made of eco-friendly laminated wood rather than cardboard, which makes them feel sturdier in your hand. Twenty-eight pieces are specially shaped and fit seamlessly into the design rather than being uniform. The material and unique shapes are also the reason for the higher price compared to a cardboard puzzle.

Once assembled, it measures 22 x 31 centimeters—roughly the size of a DIN A4 sheet of paper. This makes it a compact piece rather than a large wall-sized artwork. You’ll have plenty of room to assemble it on a coffee table.

Steinlen was an artist in 19th-century Paris. His poster “The Black Cat” became famous far beyond Paris and is characterized by clean lines and strong contrasts. It is precisely these contrasts that help you when laying the tiles, because the different areas are easy to distinguish.
