How difficult is the assembly?
We classify the three-decker as Level 3 for casual modelers, so it’s more challenging than our beginner models. With 145 parts and about 3 hours of build time, the project is still manageable. Illustrated instructions in German, English, French, and other languages guide you step by step through the assembly process.
Does the plane have to stay on the stand?
No. You can take it off the stand and hang it from a string; then it will look as if it's flying. Both options are possible; you can decide which one to use after setting it up.
What's included in the kit?
Inside the box, you'll find the laser-cut wooden pieces, the stand for the model, and illustrated instructions in German, English, French, and other languages. We also carry a model-building tool set separately in our accessories section, in case you'd prefer to have something in your hand while pressing out or smoothing the edges.
How big will the three-decker be?
When assembled, it measures 21 x 18 x 12 cm. It is therefore smaller than it often appears in product photos and fits on a desk or on a shelf. When hung, it requires adequate space on all sides.
What if a part breaks?
Spare parts are included on the mounting plates for particularly critical components. If yours isn't listed, please contact us via our contact form and provide the model and part number. We'll send you the replacement free of charge.
Who would this make a good gift for?
We recommend this kit for ages 12 and up. It's perfect for airplane and technology enthusiasts who have built something before. If this is your very first kit, we have simpler models available. It takes about 3 hours to build—enough to fill an afternoon.
